Holistic Collective Healing
Tenesu’s 360º approach is designed to support the collective healing of the social, historical, and generational traumas of all African peoples by:
- Addressing immediate health/wellness disparities and the long-term challenges in order to support multigenerational stewardship of a collective vision for a young, emerging, united Africa and its diaspora.
Restore • Reestablish • Reinvigorate
- Restoring a collective consciousness that inspires the social and environmental responsibility that promotes innovative holistic industries.
- Reestablish safe places and spaces for our communities to heal and rebuild.
- Reinvigorate trust, joy, love, and a sense of agency and compassion in our communities.
Sankofa: “Go Back and Get”
To accomplish this vision, it requires us “to look back and get” (Sankofa). To reassemble and reintroduce our communities to a shared core of African values and principles such as “Ubuntu” and to establish rich, inclusive, and engaging dialogue of a self-determined future to reimagine the unimaginable.. Where community is medicine! In addition we + the community will implement safe, viable indigenous/home grown technologies, sciences, and accessible modalities inclusive of the nine component of wellness. Tenesu’s holistic approach will increase the general health and wellbeing of our communities, reduce reliance on a Eurocentric grasp and definitions of medicine. It will also assist our communities to reestablishing balance (Ma’at) in their lives. As well as, enhancing their agency over their own healing processes. Thus, enabling African people to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
